April & Alice ‘10

October 28, 2009

My first set of twins and I thought they were absolutely gorgeous! I was so excited when we met up and I saw their long red hair… I love redheads =) They wanted most of their images to have a country theme to it, you would think finding such places would be easy in West Virginia but it wasn’t. We visited the old house where I had previously shot the Thomas family so I could use the beautiful leaves and barn for a more country feel. A little kitty was there and decided he wanted to bother us the whole time, he’s in a few shots… stupid kitty. Here is a sneak peek at their session and a slideshow of my faves.

Tyler

October 25, 2009

Meet Tyler, my latest Little Hero. Tyler contracted a virus when he was only one week old. The virus attacked his whole body, organ by organ. His heart was damaged and he now has Dilated Cardiomyopathy, one part of his heart wall does not work at all. Tyler remains stable with the aid of 5 medications he takes throughout the day and very close monitoring by his team of doctors. We met up at Coonskin Park for his session where he had a blast playing with his brother on the slide and swing, throwing sticks in the pond and watching the ducks swim. He was such a cutie in his little hat =) Here are a few of my favorites from this little heroes session.

Edmund ‘10

October 16, 2009

Edmund is a senior at Van High School and a long time friend of one of my latest seniors “Whitney”. I’m so glad I finally got to shoot a male senior, don’t get me wrong I love all my girls but I have to say it was getting kind of boring… only shooting them. When I met up with Edmund and his mom, one of the first things I noticed was his tattoo in memory of his Father who had passed on in a coal mine accident. You could tell he was close with him and with that being known I decided to shoot him at a location in Chas. under an old coal railroad bridge. It was the perfect spot, the very spot I cut my foot at the next day with my senior Crystal… not so perfect that day. Anyway here is his sneak peek and a slideshow of my faves =)
